Samir had a very ordinary childhood in the beginning. Being an only child, his mother and father showered him with attention and made their home a wonderful and friendly environment. When he was nine, his mother and father suddenly got a divorce. Samir's father had found out that his wife had been cheating on him for the past five years.
That year was torture for Samir, his mother wouldn't talk to him and he slowly watched his father fall into his grief and heartache. Samir ended up despising his mother for leaving father like she did. He took it upon himself to take care of his father, cooking, cleaning and making sure his father got enough rest.
One day Samir and his father had decided to move out of their house, which was filled with memories that caused too much pain. While cleaning out the attic, Samir had stumbled over some boxes and fallen towards an open box filled with broken picture frames. The glass had glinted dangerously in those few seconds and Samir thought he would die, leaving his father all alone.
Instead of falling, Samir had the strange sense of floating and thought briefly that being cut and torn by glass hadn't hurt as much as he thought. When he opened his eyes all he saw was what looked like gold armor in front of him. He almost screamed when he realized he was floating off the ground.
"Hello young child." A voice wrapped around him, flitting in and out like a breeze. Samir let out a sqeak when he had realized that the voice came from the floating gold armor in front of him. "Tell me my name..." it had told him and Samir mumbled the word he had seen embedded on a gold pocket watch he had found when exploring a rocky area outside earlier in the day. "Aurum...".
From that day on Samir had searched and researched around his area for 'others' like him, as Aurum had told him too. When he found them, he was instantly drawn to the House of Faeries and joined them.
He rose in the ranks quickly from then on until he reached Head Soldier. Content with how his life was in the House of Faeries, Samir only had wished that his life at home had improved as well.
Aurum means Gold in latin.
Pure Air manipulation. Aurum can use the air around it or the air being held together by the gold armor. This can be used in many different ways, from lifting objects or people up and flying them through places, increasing the air pressure around it or it's host, etcera.
Weapon / Fighting Style
Aurum uses a light-footed brute fighting-style. It's golden armor is it's weapon and what holds it together.
Cautious - Shy - Maternal - Overprotective
Cassius and his reflections eyes were locked on one another. He didn't move from where he leaned against the back of a large antique wardrobe but he wanted to move. He wasn't sure if he wanted to move closer or away, he just wanted to move expect his legs wouldn't obey him.
He watched his reflection and then widened his eyes as it slowly smiled at him. "Hello darling..." His own voice crooned at him and put it's hands behind it's back. "So nice to see you... again." It said, the voice practically dripping with hostility and malice. "Hello..." Cassius mumbled back once he got his mouth to stop gaping.
He narrowed his eyes at his reflection and straightened his posture, not wanting to show submission of any kind. "What? No little pet name for yourself?" It asked, smile widening. "You've always been so narcissistic... I'm quite disappointed in you~". Cassius gritted his teeth but kept silent. "Where are the little flies that were around you, hmmm? Left them to fend for themselves?" The reflection continued, staring at Cassius. "They are fine on their own..." He gritted out, chills running down his spine. "Of course they are..." It said evenly, but Cassius knew that was a lie.
He had known the moment he stepped into this mansion that everyone inside was in danger. As if the reflection could read his mind it grinned, teeth glinting. "Of course it's dangerous here, you know it... thus I know it.". Cassius narrowed his eyes and spat out "What do you want?". His reflection mocked a hurt expression and exclaimed "Why darling, I just want you to acknowledge me! To acknowledge yourself!". Cassius suddenly had a sinking feeling, he knew what it was referring too. "There is nothing to acknowledge..." He ground out.
His reflection's face suddenly turned dark and the eyes made Cassius freeze and his mind scream at him to run. "Don't deny us, Cassius... don't deny yourself.". Cassius wanted to object that he wasn't, that what the thing in the mirror was beginning to talk about wasn't true.
